History and a Litigious Society

Almost too bizarre and comical to be true. From the Telegraph.
"The grandson of Joseph Stalin has begun a libel suit against one of Russia's leading liberal newspapers, accusing it of lying in an article that stated the wartime leader had killed Soviet citizens."

Update
Jams has a lot more on this.

It is almost laughable. co defendant Memorial is also being sued by Ramzan Kadyrov for defamation... I am not sure what defamation can mean for a man who even flies avoid

I would say that, given the current ambiance of Russia, the guy could win. Not so funny, really.
