Terrorists Attack Scientists in Santa Cruz

I meant to mention this a few days ago, but the New Centrist beat me to it, as well as some major media outlets. Last week, a group of animal rights terrorists firebombed a medical researcher’s home and another’s car. Police are classifying this act as attempted homicide. In fact, the researcher whose home was attacked is an aide to the scientists who experienced a home invasion by animal terrorists a few months back. CNN reports:
“The first incident occurred off-campus on Saturday morning when a faculty member and his two small children were forced to escape from their smoke-filled home, with one family member sustaining injuries and a brief hospitalization, according to a statement released by the UCSC chancellor George Blumenthal.

The second incident occurred shortly afterward when the vehicle of another researcher parked on campus was also firebombed and destroyed.”

Just days prior to the attack, fliers were distributed that listed the names and addresses of 13 scientists the group claims torture animals. Furthermore, according to friends of mine that work in the graduate science department at UCSC, the second researcher mentioned in the attack works with yeast, and not animals. So apparently the Yeast Liberation front is also involved.

The FBI is now involved in the case, and is offering $50,000 for those responsible for the attack. That can buy a lot of hemp animal rights hippies, so think on it…

Of course, our good friends at Indybay hosted what appears to be a press release from the Animal Liberation Press Office, which reads:
“These animals are terrified and abused beyond belief in these experiments, and this continued depravity by cruel wanna-be scientists simply cannot be justified any longer in a civilized society. This is historically what happens whenever revolutionaries begin to take the oppression and suffering of their fellow beings seriously, whether human or non human. It's regrettable that certain scientists are willing to put their families at risk by choosing to do wasteful animal experiments in this day and age."

One Indyaby commenter wrote, “There has been a national campaign to criminalize ALL pro-animal and pro-Earth protest for the past few years. HEY FBI-if you treat protesters as terrorists, only "terrorists" will be able to protest!” What utter and gleaming bullshit. It is so brainless, it actually glimmers. Of course, you have your obligatory comment about COINTELPRO posted as well, that goes along with every act of terror done by the left.

These groups has been bitching and moaning about the “green scare” for some time now, and I have posted in the past on why there is no witch hunt against animal rights activists like they claim. Trust me kids: they are not going to start rounding up local vegans due to this attack, but they will surely investigate the individuals and groups responsible for aiding and supporting them.

I previously mentioned some of the past acts of vandalism perpetuated by “leftists” in Santa Cruz, but this is truly taking it to another level. Anyone who is within the legal end of the animal rights movement in SC needs to seriously examine the comrades amongst them, because when you have a group of people who are willing to firebomb a scientist’s home with his family inside it, you have genuine fanatical assholes in your midst. The sad thing is that everyone in Santa Cruz, especially among the animal rights crowd, should have seen this coming after the attempted home invasion a few months ago; these groups are stepping up their attacks and are getting more violent in their methods. It is only a matter of time before they bomb someone’s home, and kill the people inside, all because they do medical research and use lab rats.

Destroying property to stop the torture of a living creature is not terrorism, but I know how liberals love to paint the animal rights community like you do.

Committing crimes for animals like that is just disgusting. Get your priorities in order. Why aren't they out being terrorists for suffering HUMANS?

Well, they firebombed an occupied house so it is technically attempted murder. I suspect the perps. will be charged with both crimes when they are caught.
