The Euston Manifesto

I highly recommend reading the Euston Manifesto. It’s a website for a new alliance of liberals who oppose the extremism that has developed on the left in recent years. A great site for any of you who believe in a realistic liberal political philosophy. I personally do not agree to every tenant of their manifesto, but I think the basic concept is dead on.

I feel pretty much the same as you do about the Euston Manifesto but in the main it accords with my political outlook. The Manifesto is certainly the focus of a fair amount of comment here in the UK, quite a lot of it hostile needless to say, but it is worthy of support.

...'Euston' is causing fights among political nerds (I include myself) across the UK. I've signed and I'm broadly centre-right and I supported the war - seems some on the left are taking exception to the width of support it's getting across the political spectrum.

Yes, I personally describe myself as centrist to right of center, and yet still a liberal. I am glad that folks across the political divide support its key tenets.
